Internet Links for the Retriever Enthusiast Here are some internet sites that I have found very useful over the years.

Retriever Training Forum - a great place to find discussions about all aspects of retriever training, product reviews and classified ads for dogs and equipment.

Working Retriever Central - the bulletin boards are not up yet, but this is a great source of classified advertisements for puppies, dogs, equipment and the like.

Weather Underground - Want to know what the weather will be like where you are training, competing, judging? Plug in the location youíre visiting, and you will find out about predicted temperatures, sunshine, and wind direction.

AKC Event Site - search this site to find all the retriever fields in the state of your choice.

AKC Field Trial Rules and Regulations - here you will find the rules and regulations that govern retriever field trials.

AKC Judges Registry - looking to find the name, address, and telephone number for a person to judge your trial. Here you go.

Entry Express - Want to find out who's running which trials? Want to enter a retriever event online? Are you a procrastinator who waits to the last moment to enter a field trial? Want to find out the running order for a trial? You will love this place!

Retriever Field Trial Home Page - this site, sponsored by Working Retriever Central, contains reports on National Open and National Amateur Championship Stakes, National Derby Champions and much more. The National Stakes Reports are great fun to read!

The Orthopedic Foundation of America - Where you can check on the hips and elbows of potential sires and dams.

Dog Boxes

Ainley Kennels and Fabrication - I got a storage platform and three crates from Ron and Jan Ainley, when I was driving to field trials in my F150 with Ace, Wendy, and Zowie. Then I decided to get a chassis mount from Ron and Jane. Since then, I have persuaded my pro and many friends to buy products from Ron and Jane, who have become very good friends of mine. They make great products at a fair price, and stand behind their products with great service. No, they donít pay me to advertise for them, but maybe they should.

Tri-Tronics - I have used Tri-tronics collars for years now. I like the feel of the transmitter in my hand, I like the versatility of the 500 series collars, and have 2 two dog collars (I like having collars on all of my dogs when I am airing dogs on the road - and as the clan grows, may need another 2 dog collar). My collars have been durable ... and I think the service from Tri-Tronics has improved remarkably over the years. I have tried some of the other products, but keep coming back to Tri-Tronics.

Leather Lanyards

Leather Lanyards - I have several different leather lanyards from this company. They are attractive, functional and durable. And now you can customize the colors!

Recycled Tire Mats - Looking for rubber mats for your kennel or dog truck? This is the place!

The link to leather lanyards should be [[http://www.leatherlanyards.com/]]
