Well, the bad news was that the F350 suspension also needs help supporting the dog box. I added an air spring system to it. And that wasn't enough, either. It looks as though I will need to add one or two more leafs to the suspension.
The good news is that this truck runs like a banshee. It accelerates powerfully and I find that my mileage averages 15-16 mpg, even though I am driving at highway speeds with 6 dogs, 30 gallons of water, and plenty of gear.
The seats are comfortable, the ride is smooth, and the stereo is great. No wonder I racked up 30,000+ miles last year in it!
Gee, Ted, I just realized that with the addition of Cha Cha, you now have 6 dogs. At this rate, you’re gonna need a new 8-hole box very soon ;-)LOL

Wow Ted I really like your dog box we have a 4 dog trailer and would love to get a beautiful Ford F-350 with a 6 dog box and we could probably sell the trailer to Don. So Ted as soon as you can you need to get a F-450 with an new shiney eight hole box and we will take the old on off your hands.

If the dogs are a success – as I hope they will be – and if I can establish a good market for puppies from Mootsie and Buffy (with good homes, to boot) – as I think I can
Then, yes, I would strongly consider building an 8 hole and placing it on a F450. And as you can tell from the photos. The truck and box are in superb condition.
